Being digitally fit in old age
Computeria Kufstein and KufNet support the older generation in using digital media.
Every Tuesday and Thursday, COmputeria takes place at the Innpark Residential Home. Seniors are actively introduced to using PCs, laptops, tablets, or smartphones and shown how to use the internet safely. The support is individual, personal, and without time pressure.
A heartfelt project for KufNet
Whenever possible, explanations are provided using participants’ own devices. However, if someone does not own a device, one will be provided. “We want to enable older people to become digitally independent,” says Thomas Schwaiger, KufNet employee and team leader of COmputeria KUfstein. “We are also happy to answer questions, for example about the FRITZ!Box modem or internet tariffs.”
KufNet customers benefit even more: In February 2023, participation is free of charge for them. The €2 contribution per visit is covered by KufNet. Additionally, on the last Tuesday of each month, KufNet employees support the 14-member volunteer COmputeria team.
